| Every certified umpire who works with a non-certified umpire is required to complete an Observation/Evaluation Report for the non-certified umpire. This report is sent to the Region II Softball Umpires Association Executive Board and the trainer. It is not sent to the non-certified umpire. |

If you have a concern about something that happened while working or watching a high school softball game or while attending a high school softball umpire function, please use the appropriate form to register your concern.
Depending on the nature of your report, it will be sent to either the AIA state or regional commissioner, the Region II Softball Umpires Association executive board, or the Region II trainer.
Please submit the form that most closely describes your concern.

| I am a non-certified umpire with a concern about a certified or non-certified umpire |
| I am a certified umpire with a concern about another certified umpire |
| I have a concern about a non-rule related incident |
| I have a concern about a player or a coach |
| I have a concern about a field, team equipment, or team uniforms |
| I have a concern about my game fee |
| Miscellaneous (not one of the above issues, not about a rule) |

| If you have ejected a player or coach, you must submit an Ejection Report |

| •GAME MANAGEMENT REPORT |
|
This is an avenue to report how you were treated, what was provided for you, conditions of the field and so on. It really applies more to sports where officials have locker rooms. If you have an issue that does not fit in one of the above reports, then this may be the one you need. Take a look at it just to familiarize yourself with what it is.

One of the defined purposes of the Association is to provide support and assistance to its members in such areas as training, rules interpretation or clarification and, by establishment of the six (6) Area Groups, to provide "a forum for discussion and an avenue for input to the Board and the AIA."
If you have any questions, needs or matters of concern that you feel should be brought to the attention of the Board, do not hesitate to contact your Area representative so they can be resolved.

NFHS Officiating Softball Methods
This course is a self-paced online course designed to be taken by individual officials.

| Based on NFHS guidelines, this e-course will help you prepare to officiate softball games. The course contains material suitable for officials at the high school level and covers NFHS (National Federation of State High School Associations) mechanics. You’ll learn your officiating responsibilities, including pregame and postgame procedures and the mechanics of officiating softball such as patterns of movement, coverage responsibilities, and hand and body signals. And through case studies, you’ll learn to apply mechanics by analyzing specific game situations. |
