This is Bill West. He makes the boards...and he made them for Honig's.
How do I know? Because I asked. Here is Bill's story:
"I did sell about 350 boards in 1998 or 1999 when I was doing ladies fastpitch for the SAC 8. I sold 300 at one time, but forgot who I sold them to. Shortly thereafter, I went to S. Korea and after that to China to teach English. When I returned, I had a hip replacement and back surgery, so calling ball was out of the question. Just recently did I try to have some boards made. I had to search around because the people that helped me before were either out of business or would charge me a fee that made it impossible to sell at a profit. I don't make much on a single board and I was hoping to sell in bunches of 25 or more. Then I could allow a little discount and still make some money." |
| •The board measures about 8 X 10. It come with its own pouch for easy transport. |
| •Why is this board better than the others out there? It's got a BIG INFIELD! Umpires don't sit around discussing what they did in the outfield. They talk about movement and angles in the infield where all the action is and the umpires are. |
